Description
Q 1. Where would you normally use a chamfered treated baluster ?
As part of an exterior treated balustrade, perhaps on a balcony or verandah. (The baluster is the part between the top handrail and bottom rail).
Q 2. What is it made out of ?
Plantation grown Radiata Pine that has been H3 treated (suitable for above ground use).
Q 3. What are the important dimensions ?
Overall : 1000mm Height x 42mm Width x 42mm Depth
Length of top square : 130mm
Length of chamfer : 560mm
Length of bottom square : 275mm
Q 4. How should you finish it ?
A water based primer/undercoat is not a necessity (although it wouldn’t hurt), but at least 2 coats of the final colour is a must.
Leaving it unfinished, oiling it or using a clear lacquer is not recommended.
