The KlevaKlip Snap-Loc clip for Trex® decking is approved for use with Trex ® registered trademark boards in Australia.

Whilst Trex® decking has for quite some time had a groove in the side of the board to allow a “biscuit-type” fixing to be used to hold down the boards, biscuit clips tend to be quite fiddly due to having to fit the “biscuit” into the groove in the board and the drive a very small headed screw in between the boards. It is a two-part process as the screws cannot be fully tightened until the following board is laid. Moving from joist to joist fitting and tightening clips is certainly no slower than conventional screwing down of a decking board, but it is tedious, hot work. There must be a better way……..

PLEASE NOTE: Klevaklip Snap-Loc Clips for Trex Decking are NOT suitable for non-square or irregular shaped decks. For non-square decks it is recommended to use the Trex Connector Clips.

Q1. How many Snap-Loc Clips do I get in a box?

There are 40 units per box supplied.

One box of 40 Snap Loc Clips for Trex Decking covers approximately 10m2 (Based on 450mm joist centres)

Q2. What screws do I require?

The Klevaklip Snap-Loc Clips for Trex Decking recommends that you use Galvanised 8 gauge button head screw (head size less than 2mm) on a timber substrate.

On a metal substrate it is recommended to use a 10 gauge x 16mm wafer head screw.

Q3. How many screws will I require?

The Trex Decking Klevaklip Snap-Loc Clips require 8 screws per clip (320 screws per box)

Q4. Do I require an adhesive for installation of the Snap-Loc clips for Trex Decking?

Klevaklip highly recommend the use of adhesive products in their installation guide. It is recommended to use any MS, SMX or Polyurethane based outdoor adhesive product.
